The Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) is a youth-led and highly interactive leadership development program designed to empower and engage youth, ages 11-13. YLI is a signature program initiative for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® where youth will participate in monthly youth-led activities that focus on the leadership quality of self-awareness through the concept of growth mindset. 

The program will allow participants to develop leadership skills while collaborating with their peers and engaging in community service opportunities. The focus areas and activities will include:
